SUMMARY: Thursday’s weather will feature some fog, particularly in eastern Kentucky under dense fog advisories, including Adair County until 10 AM Eastern. While patchy fog could appear along creeks and rivers, overall visibility remains good. Morning temperatures are in the 40s and 50s, with highs expected to reach the upper 70s, peaking at 79 in the metro area. The warm, dry trend continues through the week with no rain expected, although a front approaching may shift winds without cooling temperatures significantly. By Sunday, highs might reach 85 degrees, followed by a cool down to the low 70s early next week.

Kentuckians work with Red Cross volunteers to help disaster victims

Currently stationed at a shelter in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, he supports evacuees from heavily affected areas like Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. Many displaced individuals express gratitude for their safety, recognizing that while material belongings may be lost, their lives are preserved. Sternberg notes that evacuees will experience a wide range of emotions while adjusting to shelter life. Volunteer aid will continue in the impacted regions for at least the next two weeks.

28-year-old Danville man killed after car hits pole
