One teen pleads guilty in shooting death of USM football player

SUMMARY: A 16-year-old, Nytavion Shaw, has pled guilty to second-degree murder for the shooting of Marcus “MJ” Daniels Jr., a Southern Miss football player. Shaw’s sentencing is pending, and he could face 20-40 years in prison. The incident occurred on June 11 at Ivy Row Apartments in Hattiesburg, where Daniels, a senior cornerback for USM, was found shot inside a vehicle. Three other , Orlando May, Allen Gardner, and Samir Green, were previously and face capital murder charges. They have been denied bond on these charges but have a bond set for attempted armed carjacking.

Mississippi man wanted by FBI for felony drug possession
