Man convicted in beating death of girlfriend in Jackson
SUMMARY: Billy Gibson was found guilty of second-degree murder for the 2019 death of his girlfriend, Darcie Rich, in Jackson, Mississippi. On December 24, 2019, police discovered Rich unresponsive at their home after Gibson severely beat her with a broomstick, leaving her in a coma. Despite Gibson’s claims, surveillance footage contradicted his account of the events. Rural king store will soon replace Kmart building
SUMMARY: The old K-Mart building in Columbus, Mississippi, is set to become a Rural King outdoor superstore, following the city council’s approval of a $2 million tax incentive over ten years.
