SUMMARY: Tens of thousands of port workers are striking nationwide, causing panic buying across the Mid-South. At a Sam’s Club on Covington Pike, customers were seen loading carts with essentials like paper towels and cleaning supplies, attributing their actions to the strike’s potential impact on supply lines. The store was crowded, with every checkout lane busy, as shoppers described the scene as chaotic. Despite the surge in demand, many local stores remained well-stocked. Shoppers are urged to only purchase what they need, as the strike has not yet significantly affected supplies. More updates on the situation are expected later tonight.
