Multiple Ocean Springs businesses receive upgrades through Façade Grant Program
SUMMARY: Ocean Springs is undergoing a revitalization, with a $30,000 grant project aimed at enhancing the aesthetics of local storefronts. Sponsored by Ocean Springs Main Street, Mississippi Power Foundation, and United Way, the initiative benefits both businesses and visitors. This effort, the first of its kind in a decade, aids 10 businesses in updating their exteriors with improvements like signage, awnings, and door replacements. One local business replaced its outdated wooden front door, enhancing its appeal ahead of holiday events like Cruisin’ the Coast and the Peter Anderson Festival. The program aims to attract more traffic to Ocean Springs, with hopes to continue next year.
Some of the updates include signage, awnings, paint, and door replacements.
