Despite hurricane, Florida gas prices down more than 8% compared to August | Florida

SUMMARY: Despite Hurricane Helene, gas prices in Florida have decreased by 17 cents (8.2%) to $3.17 per gallon. Nationally, the average price is $3.22, down from $3.35 last month. Florida’s prices are 10.4% lower than last year when regular gasoline was $3.50. Helene, a Category 4 hurricane, struck Dekle Beach, causing significant but resulting in lower gas prices throughout affected . The lowest regional price is in Okaloosa County at $2.86, while the highest is $3.33 in Palm Beach County.
