Ole Miss drops to No. 12 in AP poll after being upset by Kentucky
SUMMARY: The Ole Miss football team dropped from sixth to twelfth in the Associated Press top 25 after a surprising upset by Kentucky, losing 20-17. Despite a strong start, Ole Miss struggled offensively against Kentucky’s defense and fell behind at halftime. The Rebels regained a brief lead in the second half but faltered in crucial moments. A late opportunity to tie the game was thwarted when the kicker’s attempt failed due to a high snap. The loss diminishes Ole Miss’s chances for a College Football Playoff spot, but Coach Lane Kiffin expressed optimism about bouncing back against South Carolina next week.
