Texas SEC opener against Mississippi State: Longhorns defense continues to shine | FOX 7 Austin
SUMMARY: The discussion shifts from Texas‘s high-powered offense to its standout defense, particularly focusing on Anthony Hill, who showcased his skills with a sack and interception. The defensive tackles are praised for their rotational depth, contributing to overall team performance. The analysis highlights the significance of depth in the program, as it transitions into its fourth year under head coach Sark, aiming for SEC success. With Mississippi State struggling this season, the upcoming matchup presents an opportunity for Texas to assert dominance, potentially winning by a significant margin. Fans expect an explosive performance, given the current talent disparity.
The Texas defense has been a force this season. Often times since Steve Sarkisian has taken over as head coach for the Longhorns the focal point of conversation has been the offense and quarterback. However, this season the defense run by coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski has been just as fearsome if not more-so. Through four games the Longhorn’s defense has only allowed a total of 2 offensive touchdowns. tex
