Twin Span reopens after crash
SUMMARY: The eastbound lanes of I-10 near Ridgeway Boulevard have reopened following a deadly overnight crash. New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) reported that officers arrived at the scene around 1 a.m. to find a man dead in a car that was on fire. Authorities believe this was a single-vehicle incident. Meanwhile, St. Tammany Parish officials have dispatched a boat to search the water for any additional victims or evidence related to the crash. All eastbound lanes of I-10 are now clear.

More big swings in temperatures, we stay rain-free
SUMMARY: Good Monday morning! Meteorologist Justin Horn reports cool mornings and hot afternoons continue, with yesterday’s high of 97ยฐ breaking a record. This morning starts in the mid-60s but is expected to reach 97ยฐ, likely setting another record, surpassing the 96ยฐ set in 2019. There are significant temperature swings due to dry air, making afternoons very hot. Today is also an ozone action day in San Antonio, with elevated levels potentially affecting health. Looking ahead, highs are 96ยฐ on Tuesday and 94ยฐ on Wednesday, with a slight chance of rain Friday and Saturday, bringing possible relief from the heat.

New Orleans Weather: Week starts dry, but rain returns by Thursday
SUMMARY: On this pleasant Monday, the weather remains quiet as we kick off the week. Expect warm temperatures around 89ยฐF through Wednesday, with little rain.
