Clark County Judge Executive Les Yates noted that while flooding hasn’t been significant, there has been considerable wind damage, leaks in buildings, and downed trees causing power outages. Tonight on Fox 56 news, viewers will hear from local residents, including a business owner facing repair needs due to ceiling leaks from today‘s rain.
According to the Winchester Fire Department, the building on the corner of East Lexington Street and Hodgkins Alley has collapsed.

Helene's remnants will continue to bring us periods of rain through tomorrow
SUMMARY: Chief Meteorologist Jay Cardosi reports persistent rainy weather in the area, expecting an additional 1 to 2 inches, with some regions reaching up to 5 inches. Despite the rainfall, flash flooding is deemed unlikely due to previous drought conditions, which have allowed for ground absorption. Windy conditions will gradually lessen overnight. The rain, linked to remnants of Tropical Storm Lee, will continue into Saturday with temperatures hovering around 70ยฐF. While rain will be prevalent tomorrow, some dry moments are expected Sunday, with a warming trend leading to sunnier, more comfortable days next week, peaking at around 75-80ยฐF.
Chief meteorologist Jay Cardosi talks about continued high rain chances as we push into the weekend
