Jim Cantore in Tallahassee ahead of Helene Landfall
SUMMARY: In Tallahassee, rain has resumed, becoming heavier and more consistent. Winds are expected to increase as the hurricane accelerates north-northeast, possibly making landfall at night. The crucial factor for Tallahassee is whether the storm tracks west, leading to more severe impacts, or east, which could reduce damage. Regardless, residents should prepare for extensive power outages and localized flooding. The hurricane will likely move up I-75 through Georgia, raising concerns about its strength and speed as it approaches. Overall, tallahassee can expect significant effects from the storm, with impacts stretching into Appalachia.
