Cool front brings sunny skies, lower humidity heading into the weekend
SUMMARY: K1 meteorologist Chris Ramirez reports a cold front is bringing drier air to Southeast Texas, making current conditions more comfortable despite upper 80s temperatures. The drier air will lead to cooler overnight lows in the 50s and 60s, prompting the need for a light sweater in some areas. Expect sunny and pleasant weather for the upcoming days, with high temperatures around 90°F. Meanwhile, Hurricane Helen poses a threat to Florida, with heavy rain and dangerous storm surges anticipated. Two additional disturbances, including Isaac, are being monitored, but Southeast Texas will remain dry through next week.
