Beloved Mississippi bluesman Sam Mosley dies at 78

Born in Union County in 1946, he gained fame as part of the duo Sam and Bob & The Soulmen, releasing albums including Mississippi Mud (1971) and Premium (1989). After the death of his partner, Bob Johnson, in 1998, Mosley continued to perform and honor Johnson’s family with royalties. Known for hits like “Never Let You Go,” he left a significant legacy in blues music and worked in materials management for 34 years. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Mississippi State stifled by Tennessee defense in 33-14 loss

Saints snap 7-game losing streak with 20-17 win over Falcons
