SUMMARY: Hidden , Hidden Rivers Farm and Hartsell is officially open for the fall season, but drought conditions have negatively impacted attractions like the popular sugar cane maze and pumpkin growth. Co-owner Mary Sidney Rich noted that while recent rain has helped, it’s not sufficient to restore normal growth levels. She likened the situation to watering a lawn—one good rain isn’t enough to sustain plants long-term. In response to these challenges, the farm is creating new attractions, a hay bale maze, while continuing to offer favorites like pony rides, mining, and apple canning.
