Report: Border crisis ‘damage that will take decades to remedy’ | National
SUMMARY: A U.S. House committee report, titled “Crisis By Design,” criticizes the Biden administration for causing what it labels “the worst border crisis in American history.” Since February 2021, there have been 8.2 million border crossings, with an estimated total of 11.6 million encounters expected by the end of Biden’s term. The report highlights a 274% increase in illegal crossings compared to previous years and notes the empowerment of transnational criminal organizations through drug trafficking and human smuggling. It claims that current immigration policies have led to widespread crime and public safety threats in the U.S.

Attorneys general file amicus brief supporting victims of Hamas attack | Virginia
SUMMARY: Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares has led a coalition of 22 state attorneys general in filing an amicus brief to support a lawsuit against AJP Educational Foundation Inc. (American Muslims for Palestine) and National Students for Justice in Palestine. The lawsuit, under the Anti-Terrorism Act, claims these organizations provided material support to Hamas, originating from previous groups like the Holy Land Foundation. Miyares emphasizes the importance of allowing victims of the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack to pursue justice, arguing that dismissing the case would hinder accountability for alleged terrorist support. The coalition aims to protect victims’ rights to seek compensation.
