Teenage girl found guilty of killing mother in central Mississippi
SUMMARY: In Ranken County, a jury found 15-year-old Carly Madison Greg guilty on multiple counts, including first-degree murder and attempted murder. The verdict came after a dramatic week-long trial where it was revealed that she shot her mother with a .357 Magnum and attempted to kill her stepfather in March, following her mother’s discovery of vape pens and other signs of the teen’s secret life. Carly, who was 14 at the time of the crimes, will spend the rest of her life in prison without parole. Her attorneys plan to appeal for a new trial.
