Tracking late summer heat and tropical potential that could impact Louisiana

SUMMARY: Tonight, a few showers are expected, but rain chances will decrease heading into the weekend, with temperatures rising into the 90s. The last remnants of Hurricane Francine have dissipated, leading to a hotter forecast. Only a 10-20% chance of rain remains, mainly near the coast. For the weekend, temperatures will reach 91-94°F, with some humidity expected. Football games will be hot, emphasizing hydration and sunscreen. Tropical updates show low chances of development for systems in the central Atlantic; however, a potential system is being monitored in the Caribbean and Gulf, with uncertain forecasts ahead.
