Austin murder suspect in deadly stabbing bonds out of jail | FOX 7 Austin
SUMMARY: Nicholas Martinez’s parents express their ongoing grief over their son’s murder, emphasizing their struggle with the lack of closure regarding his killer. In June, an anonymous tip led to the arrest of Antoine Tuan Jr. for allegedly stabbing Martinez in South Austin. Notably, Tuan had been searching online for articles about stabbings shortly after the murder. Despite being arrested, Tuan was released on bond after a judge set it at $150,000, raising concerns about communication failures among law enforcement agencies regarding his extradition to Travis County. Tuan has a history of arrests, complicating the situation further.
A suspect in a 2021 cold case was arrested this week for the stabbing death of a 23-year-old in South Austin. Four days later, he bonded out of jail.

SUMMARY: Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson has requested citizenship and immigration status data from the Biden administration to maintain secure voter rolls, emphasizing the need for clean elections. Governor Greg Abbott supported this request, asserting the importance of ensuring only eligible voters participate.
