SUMMARY: Senator JD Vance addressed the Georgia Faith and Freedom Coalition’s annual Victory dinner, marking his first public comments on the recent assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump. Vance attributed the threat to divisive political rhetoric from the left, noting that while Trump faces danger, no similar threats have emerged against liberal figures. The event aimed to mobilize Christian conservative voters ahead of the November elections, emphasizing Georgia’s critical role as a battleground state. Meanwhile, authorities are investigating the suspect, Ryan Ralph, who attempted to harm Trump with an AK-47 near his golf club and has a criminal history.

SUMMARY: For over 50 years, Hosea Helps has supported families in Metro Atlanta, exemplified by their annual Thanksgiving giveaway. Long lines formed as early as 3 a.m. for food packages, with volunteers also collecting vital information to address housing and other needs beyond hunger. The organization plans to feed 500 families this year, providing a turkey, sides, and water. Volunteers, some with over two decades of service, share personal connections to the cause. Amid rising living costs, Hosea Helps urges the community to contribute time, money, and supplies to sustain their mission of helping those in need.
