Escapee captured, ending manhunt
SUMMARY: The manhunt for 26-year-old Jaccory Carr, an escapee from the Wilkinson County Jail, has officially ended with his capture, announced on social media. Carr, a pre-trial detainee facing charges of murder and aggravated assault, escaped around 7:30 PM last night. Authorities have reached out to Capitol Police for more information but have not yet received a response.

Hattiesburg Public School District gets big thumbs up from Mississippi Department of Education
SUMMARY: The Hattiesburg Public School District achieved a historic milestone with all nine schools earning A or B ratings for the 2023-2024 school year, as announced by the Mississippi Department of Education.
