Dog abandoned by dumpster becomes police K9

SUMMARY: Ink, a discarded dog found in a crate next to a dumpster, was saved by Hurricane Creek Canine, a nonprofit in Georgia that rescues abandoned dogs and trains them as police dogs. After being thrown away like trash, Ink became a treasure to a narcotics detective in Alabama. The organization was founded to address the high costs of purchasing purebred dogs for police work, spending a year training dogs like Ink. In just a year and a half, Hurricane Creek Canine has successfully placed 26 trained dogs with police departments nationwide, showcasing their incredible impact in the community.

A SECOND CHANCE AT LIFE 🐕❤ After being left by their owners, these dogs could have been euthanized. Instead, Hurricane Creek K9 is working to train them into K9s.

Traffic delays extend solidly back to 316, leading to over an hour of travel time through Spaghetti Junction. Additionally, there are complications on 285 Northbound around Memorial Drive affecting I-20 and major delays on the downtown connector due to a wreck at University, creating heavy congestion pushing back to 166.
