Rare disorder that affects children and teens the focus of new study by doctors
SUMMARY: Conduct disorder (CD) is a mental health condition affecting children and teens, characterized by disruptive, antisocial, and aggressive behaviors. Prevalent in 2-4% of the population, it is often misunderstood as merely “bad behavior.” Dr. Iditian GA and Dr. Marina Stagis led a study analyzing brain structure in over 1,000 young individuals with CD, revealing significant changes in brain regions associated with the disorder. Their findings suggest widespread brain differences, not limited to typical antisocial areas. The study aims to improve the diagnosis and treatment of CD, challenging misconceptions that it cannot be treated and emphasizing the importance of awareness and understanding.
The CDC says โConduct Disorderโ is diagnosed when children show an ongoing pattern of aggression toward others, and serious violations of rules and social norms at home, in school, and with peers.

Recent report sheds light on how federal student loan borrowers are managing repayment
SUMMARY: Nearly a year after federal student loan payments resumed, many borrowers are adjusting to the burden of debt. A recent report found that about half of borrowers are current on their payments, while nearly 30% are overdue. Financial strain has made prioritizing student loans difficult for many, as daily expenses like rent and food take precedence. Attorney Christy Arkovich highlights important upcoming deadlines: the “Fresh Start” program for borrowers in default ends on September 30, and a temporary “on-ramp” that prevents negative credit reporting also concludes that day, potentially leading to garnishments starting October 1.
It’s been almost a year since federal student loan payments restarted, and a recent report is shedding light on how borrowers are handling that debt.
