I-Team: How did Apalachee High School shooting suspect, Colt Gray, get a rifle?

SUMMARY: New details have emerged about the weapon used in the recent school shooting at Appalache High School. The accused shooter, Colt Gray, legally obtained an AR-15 style rifle, purchased by his father at Mike’s Gun Room, located six miles from the school. Sheriff Jud Smith confirmed that Colt acted alone and concealed the rifle in his backpack. While minors can’t buy handguns, there are no age restrictions for possessing rifles. Investigators discovered writings in Gray’s home that indicated a fascination with previous school shooters. There are ongoing fundraising efforts for the survivors and victims’ families, detailed on Fox Atlanta’s platforms.

2 arrests made in connection to DeKalb County Jail
