SUMMARY: A federal lawsuit has been filed against the city of San Antonio following a tragic attack involving dangerous pit bull dogs that had previously been deemed a risk. The case stems from a brutal incident in February last year, resulting in the death of Wanita Naha Ramon’s husband and severe injuries to his wife. The suit alleges the city failed to protect the community by releasing the dogs back to their owners despite knowing their dangerous history. Janie Neta, the only survivor of the attack, will share her story for the first time in an exclusive interview on the Night Beat.

The Najera family is suing the City of San Antonio and City Attorney Andy Segovia for damages arising from “a grievous and preventable tragedy.” The lawsuit was filed on Friday.

www.youtube.com – KHOU 11 – 2024-12-22 18:27:42

SUMMARY: Meteorologist Kim Castro warns of weather impact on Christmas Eve due to storms from 8 PM to 2 AM. While the severe weather potential is low (level one), isolated storms could produce hail and gusty winds, affecting Harris County and much of Southeast Texas. Rainfall may reach 1-2 inches, with isolated areas potentially experiencing localized flooding. A shift in high pressure and an incoming front are contributing to these conditions. For safe travel, consider adjusting plans to avoid late-night driving. Christmas Day will be quieter with only early morning showers expected before clear skies in the afternoon. More rain is forecasted later in the week.

The KHOU 11 Weather Team is keeping an eye on two different fronts heading to Southeast Texas.
