Fort Worth officer hurt in major crash
SUMMARY: A Fort Worth police officer was injured in a significant crash while responding to a call, colliding with a vehicle carrying four passengers. The severity of the officer’s injuries is not serious, although one passenger from the other vehicle was transported with critical injuries. The crash, which occurred on Labor Day near the Meadowbrook Drive exit off Loop 820, led to a lengthy road closure for investigation. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage, with airbags deployed and the police SUV partially hanging off the overpass. Authorities are still investigating the cause and have not confirmed if lights or sirens were in use.
A Fort Worth police officer and four other people were hurt in a crash Monday afternoon. Police said the officer was headed to a call when her SUV collided with a car at Meadowbrook Drive and East Loop 820.

2 suspects arrested after HPD officer was shot during a home invasion were out on bond for other cri
SUMMARY: Three men were arrested following a shooting involving a Houston police officer during a home invasion in the Spring Branch area. Eighteen-year-old Brian Chavez appeared in court, charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, and was assigned a $100,000 bond. Brothers Michael and Raymond Perez, who have extensive criminal records and were out on bond for prior offenses, are also scheduled to appear in court later today. The arrests are part of ongoing investigations related to the incident.
Raymond Perez, the accused shooter, and Michael Perez have prior felony convictions, according to records, and both were out on bond when the shooting happened.
