85 students exit English Learner Program

Interview: Folks encouraged to participate in this year's Suicide Awareness Walk in Tupelo
SUMMARY: September is Suicide Prevention Month, and a suicide awareness walk will take place on October 26 at Ballard Park in Tupelo. The event‘s organizer, who lost her father to suicide in 2007, emphasized its importance for healing and spreading hope. Registration starts at 11 AM, with speakers at noon. Attendees can sign up on the day or register online at afsp.org/tupelo. The event aims to raise awareness of suicide, the 14th leading cause of death in Mississippi, particularly for those aged 10 to 24. Volunteers are encouraged to advocate for mental health resources through afsp.org.
