Tracking Three Disturbances in the Atlantic

SUMMARY: On this Friday afternoon, the tropics are becoming active with three systems under observation. A low-pressure trough in the Gulf of Mexico is causing heavy rain in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi, but has a low chance of organizing into a tropical system. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected in the region. Meanwhile, a tropical wave in the central Atlantic is moving towards the Caribbean, with a 40% chance of development, warranting closer attention next week. Additionally, a new tropical disturbance has emerged off Africa, though its development potential remains low. September is statistically the busiest month of the Atlantic hurricane season.

The latest area of interest in the Gulf of Mexico will produce locally heavy downpours over the Texas and the Northern Gulf Coast. We are also tracking two other systems in the Central Atlantic.

SUMMARY: Markieff Jackson has been arrested in Huntsville for a shooting incident that occurred Monday evening on Lance Wood Drive. He faces charges of aggravated first-degree assault against a non-family member and is detained on a $30,000 bond. Police arrived at the scene shortly before 4:30 PM and found a victim suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Huntsville Police said that Markeith Jackson has been arrested for the shooting on Lancewood Drive that happened on Monday.

“Arti Gras” aims to improve small Mobile park
