Suspect in George County sandbar shooting later shot in Alabama
SUMMARY: The George County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting on a sandbar along the Escatawpa River, where deputies found a seriously injured victim who was airlifted to a hospital and is expected to recover. Man arrested after threatening social media post against Amory sporting event

Mendenhall High School placed on soft lockdown following threat posted to social media
