Gulf Shores Fire Rescue receives new ladder truck for West and East beach

SUMMARY: The Gul Shor Fire Department has enhanced its capabilities with the arrival of a new fire and ladder truck, capable of reaching heights up to 110 feet. Recently, the fire rescue team engaged in specialized training to familiarize themselves with the truck’s features, which differ slightly from their previous model, despite its similar appearance. The manufacturer’s representatives provided instruction over three shifts to highlight these differences. The new truck will primarily be stationed at Fire Station 2, enabling the department to improve its response to emergencies involving higher structures and ultimately saving more lives.

Earlier this month, the Gulf Shores Fire Rescue received an additional ladder truck that will help assist in District 2, which consists of the West Beach and East Beach areas.
