Brenna Swindell: Texas officials searching for Austin single mother | FOX 7 Austin
SUMMARY: Brena Swindell, a 29-year-old mother of three, disappeared on August 22 after posting about her kids’ first day of school. She was last seen with her ex-boyfriend, Morgan Gidry, at Hilltop Roadhouse in Spicewood, Texas. Both their phones have been off since Friday, raising concerns for her safety. Swindell’s family expressed worries about Gidry’s history of violence; he has a pending assault charge related to an incident involving Swindell in July. Reports suggest that Gidry and Swindell may be heading toward the Canadian border in a white 2022 KIA Carnival. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact them.
Brenna Swindell, an Austin single mother and daughter of former MLB pitcher Greg Swindell, has not been seen since August 22 but her vehicle tags were recently seen in Colorado.

Ex-boyfriend found guilty of murder after trial that lasted more than 8 years
SUMMARY: After eight years, justice has finally been served for Amalia Alexander, a certified nursing assistant murdered in 2016. Key suspect Jarvis Hickerson, her ex-boyfriend, was found guilty of capital murder, as prosecutors argued he killed her to prevent her from testifying against him in a domestic violence case. Amalia’s body was discovered in a remote field months after her disappearance. During the trial, compelling evidence included video of Hickerson loading a large object into his truck the night she vanished. Despite his disruptive behavior in court, Hickerson will serve life in prison, providing closure for Amalia’s grieving family.
