How gas prices have changed in Mississippi in the last week
SUMMARY: Gasoline prices have remained stable, with slight decreases in Florida despite Hurricane Debby’s minimal impact. Lower oil prices, driven by recession concerns, have contributed to this trend, though recent data indicates a rebound in retail spending. Currently, Mississippi has the lowest gas price at $2.96, with a year-over-year decrease of $0.37. Diesel prices also fell slightly to $3.44. The states with the highest gas prices include Hawaii ($4.67) and California ($4.60). AAA cautions that while prices may dip, the full hurricane season‘s effects are yet to be seen.
