Blitz 16 Preview-Hartfield Academy
SUMMARY: The Hartfield Academy Hawks, the reigning champions, are set to kick off their new season after winning their first 6-A MAIS state title last year. Star quarterback Cayman Tapper leads a talented team, supported by standout wide receivers Bralan Womack and Kenzie West. Head coach Graig Bowman emphasizes a focus on consistent high-level execution rather than talk of repeating as champions. On defense, senior leaders Reginald Vaughn and London Simmonsโboth committed to SEC programsโare committed to guiding their teammates. The Hawks’ season opener is scheduled for August 16 at home against Heritage Academy.
The Hartfield Academy Hawks return to the football field as the defending 6A MAIS Champions. They lost some talented players but they have reloaded with some top flight returners including two SEC commits on the defensive line. The Hawks will be the hunted going into this season but head coach Craig Bowman wants his team to focus on executing at a high level before counting any wins.
