Currently, there are about 50,000 fortified homes in Alabama, with 95% of them sustaining little to no damage during Hurricane Sally. Homeowners in fortified homes benefit not only from peace of mind but also from significantly lower insurance premiums, highlighting the effectiveness of this construction approach.
