Teddy Bear Clinic in Lexington looks to eliminate fear and stigma about going to hospital
SUMMARY: Children‘s Hospital in Lexington hosted its annual Teddy Bear Clinic to help reduce stigma and fear around hospitalizations. Children brought their favorite stuffed animals for medical checkups and pretend surgeries, allowing them to play the roles of nurses and doctors. Organizers aim to decrease anxiety about medical care and inspire interest in the medical field. Participants went through simulated surgical steps and toured the hospital. Jessica DeDeandra reassured attendees that the clinic has a 100% success rate, meaning all stuffed animals leave happy and healthy, fostering a positive experience around healthcare.

Hundreds compete in the Interscholastic Cycling Race at Veterans Park
