Reigning Region 23 Champions, Pearl River volleyball announces 2024 schedule
SUMMARY: Pearl River Community College’s volleyball coach, Haley Chatham, announced the 2024 schedule for the reigning NJCAA Region 23 Champions. The Wildcats will host 10 home matches in Shivers Gymnasium. They start the season on Aug. 22 against Coastal Alabama-South and participate in various tournaments throughout September. The schedule includes conference matches and non-conference games, with the regular season concluding in late October. Key returning players include Peyton Hoffmayer and Madi King. Chapman named Bulldog of the Week
SUMMARY: Montrell Chapman, a sophomore linebacker from Batesville, has been named Bulldog of the Week for Sept. 9-15 after contributing 10 tackles, including one for loss, in No. 5 Gulf Coast’s 27-20 victory over No. 10 Jones. His interception concluded Jones’s final drive and helped limit the opponent to 207 total yards. Other nominees included freshman quarterback Landon Varnes, who threw for 310 yards and two touchdowns, leading a comeback win, and sophomore JP Coulter, who recorded nine receptions for 118 yards and returned three punts for 45 yards. St. Martin Prevails In OT After Hancock’s Bold Two-Point Bid For The Win Is Denied

Pearl River’s first-ever women’s golf team set for debut
SUMMARY: Pearl River Community College will debut its first-ever women’s golf team on Monday and Tuesday, becoming one of three community colleges in Mississippi to do so.
