Scattered Afternoon Storms, Staying Seasonable
SUMMARY: Meteorologist Lexi Birmingham reports that the tropics have been quiet due to Saharan dust limiting tropical development. However, a low chance of development is being monitored in the Atlantic, though it poses no immediate threat to the Gulf Coast. Local weather features cloudy skies with temperatures in the 70s, rising to the upper 80s and near 90ยฐF this afternoon, alongside a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Rain activity is expected to pick up in the afternoon, tapering off into the evening. The forecast suggests continuing rain chances into next week, with temperatures gradually rising into the mid-90s by Wednesday.
This stubborn weather pattern continues as showers and storms can be expected throughout the day today with our best chance coming during the afternoon. Temperatures will stay near average in the upper 80s to low 90s. Full Forecast: https://tinyurl.com/5dp9smer
