Team up to have Pontotoc students tasting food from around the world

SUMMARY: The Ponto City School District has partnered with Chartwells to introduce a new food program aimed at expanding students’ culinary experiences. The initiative features a diverse menu with international cuisine, allowing students to explore various flavors and spices. During an open registration event, parents and staff sampled the new offerings, which were well-received. The program’s goal extends beyond tasty meals to include nutritional education and cultural exposure. Students will have opportunities to taste and vote on future menus, while some traditional favorites will remain available. Additionally, a chef may be added to the staff to enhance the culinary experience further.

A team up between Chartwells and the Pontotoc City School District will give students the chance to taste food from around the world.

Tupelo waiting on Target to make decision on new store

Volunteers requested for local “Grow-a-Row” program to combat hunger

SUMMARY: A local nonprofit, Petal Healing Garden, is collaborating with the Forest County Agricultural Extension Office on the Grow a Row program to combat food insecurity. Volunteers can participate after completing a food safety course led by Jesse Tisdale.
