Ocean Springs makes changes to water and sewage rate, golf cart ordinance
SUMMARY: City leaders have updated water and sewage rates, setting the minimum monthly charge for residential water at $13.72 for up to 3,000 gallons, commercial rates at $284 per month, and rates for those outside city limits at 1.5 times the regular rate. Additionally, the city revised the golf cart ordinance, requiring anyone driving a golf cart or low-speed vehicle on public roads to have a valid driver’s license, proof of financial responsibility, and specific vehicle equipment, including headlights, tail lights, turn signals, a rear-view mirror, a windshield, a horn, and brake lights.
