St. Patrick wins 3A MHSAA All-State award

South Mississippians reflect on days after 9/11 attacks
SUMMARY: This weekend, South Mississippi residents participated in a 5K event to honor the First Responders and victims of the 9/11 attacks. Community members, including Jacobe Rivers, shared their memories of the tragedy, emphasizing its lasting impact. The annual Tunnel to Towers event featured a stair climb, commemorating firefighters who lost their lives. Participants recounted how 9/11 changed their lives, from being pulled from classrooms to getting called back to active duty. Mark Jagel, a former Airman, reflected on the importance of teaching the next generation about First Responders. Attendees stressed the significance of remembrance and honoring those who served.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation was created to help the spouses of the fallen first responders.

Four years after opening, the business has grown and now operates in Pascagoula, Lucedale, and soon Mobile, Ala.
