7/11 – Trey Tonnessen's “Down Below” Thursday Noon Forecast
SUMMARY: Good afternoon, South Mississippi. Cloud cover is increasing, with ongoing thunderstorms seen from the Golden Nugget, primarily in Southern Louisiana. This morning, Southern Louisiana experienced over 2.5 inches of rainfall. A stalled cold front to the north acts as a barrier, causing moisture buildup from the Gulf, resulting in calm conditions currently in Southern Mississippi. However, pop-up showers and potential thunderstorms are expected later today. Temperatures are in the 90s, with high humidity making it feel uncomfortably warm. Although there’s a slight break in humidity, spotty showers and thunderstorms will persist in the coming days.
