Carey theater celebrating 50 years with homegrown musical

SUMMARY: The Carrie Dinner Theater concluded its final dress rehearsal before debuting “Waffle House the Musical” on Thursday. Celebrating its 50th season, the theater showcases original work by staff members Tim Ahti, Gina Graves, and Tay Young Hong. Founder Quave conceived the idea in the early ’70s after visiting other colleges. This year’s production honors the theater’s tradition of featuring original works from its members.
