Several agencies carry out emergency response drill at MSU
SUMMARY: The Mississippi National Guard’s 47th Civil Support Team, MSU Police, university leaders, and the MSU Crisis Action Team conducted a joint emergency drill at Mississippi State University. The exercise focused on a potential emergency scenario near Davis Wade Stadium, aiming to improve coordination among agencies. MSU personnel emphasized that such drills align everyone beforehand, maintaining readiness if an actual crisis occurs. According to Allison Matthews from the Crisis Action Team, practicing in the Summer allows responders to train under severe weather conditions and takes advantage of fewer students on campus. Advanced preparation is crucial for a smooth response to emergencies.
