Tupelo High School’s JROTC gets new obstacle course

Jackson Police said they recovered a stolen car with a baby inside
SUMMARY: At Brent's Drugs in Fondren, Jackson authorities recovered a stolen car with a seven-month-old child inside. The incident took place on Saturday evening at a Shell gas station on Beasley Road. The child, found safe over an hour later, was checked by AMR and returned to the parents. Jackson Police and Capitol Police are collaborating to find the suspect. Sheriff Tyree Jones emphasized the legal and safety risks of leaving a child or an unattended running car, urging parents to prioritize child safety. Community members criticized the parent's negligence, and authorities stressed vigilance to prevent similar occurrences.

Roll and Run Adaptive Tennis Clinic

SUMMARY: A storm with maximum winds of 70 mph is approaching the coast, just shy of hurricane strength. Moving north-northwest at 10 mph, the storm is expected to affect Houston, possibly as a Category 1 hurricane with winds up to 75 mph by early morning. It will make landfall between midnight and 4 a.m. near Bay City, west of Galveston, then move north and northeast, losing its tropical characteristics by Tuesday. Expect gusty winds (25-30 mph) and rain chances, particularly on Tuesday. Monday will be hot with mid-90s temperatures and heat indices of 105-110. Rain chances persist through the week.
