SUMMARY: The Carroll County Sheriff's Department is seeking public help to solve the 2015 murder of Kenneth “Kim” Daves, who was discovered dead in his family's store in Black Hawk, Mississippi. Sheriff Clint Walker has requested and received approval from county supervisors for a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction, adding to the $11,000 already offered by Daves' family. Oktibbeha county gets five new fire trucks for the county

Man dies after being shot multiple times on Livingston Road
SUMMARY: JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A man was shot and killed early Sunday morning in Jackson on Livingston Road around 5:00 a.m. Detective Tommie Brown stated that officers arriving at the scene found that 47-year-old Willie Luckett had been shot multiple times and was transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC), where he was pronounced dead. Currently, there is no suspect information available. Newly crowned Miss Volunteer America visits Tupelo
SUMMARY: Berkley Bryant, recently crowned Miss Volunteer America 2025, will be encouraging contestants at the Miss Mississippi Volunteer pageant in Tupelo. Bryant, who previously held the title of Miss South Carolina Volunteer, won $50,000 in scholarships at the national pageant in Jackson, Tennessee. She emphasized the importance of cherishing the experience and building relationships among contestants. Bryant will attend the finals for Miss Mississippi Volunteer and then embark on a year of travel and appearances for Miss Volunteer America. She also visited the Elvis Presley Birthplace shortly after arriving in Tupelo.
