Jackson DUI suspect wants evidence thrown out in case
SUMMARY: Jada Kelly, accused of killing two people in a DUI crash in Jackson, Mississippi, is seeking to have evidence of her alleged intoxication excluded from the case. Kelly's lawyer is challenging the reliability of a breathalyzer test, which indicated a blood alcohol level of 0.18, over twice the legal limit of 0.08. The defense argues that Kelly was not properly informed of her right to refuse the test. The fatal crash occurred on January 15, 2023, killing Azure Higgins, 46, and Valerie Lynch, 43. Kelly faces charges of aggravated DUI.
