Interview: Jacinto Foundation hosting July 4th event

SUMMARY: The Jento Foundation is gearing up for its celebration, which runs from 9 AM to 3 PM. Founded in the 1960s to save a historic courthouse, the foundation has only renovated the building twice, the most recent being three years ago. It's the last Federal- courthouse in Mississippi. This year's will feature music all day, starting with the national anthem by Lisa Lambert B. Although it's not an election year, political candidates are welcome to speak between performances. New attractions include a car cruise-in and a kid's zone, with 41 vendors participating.

The Jacinto Foundation is hosting an upcoming Fourth of July celebration.

Ex-boyfriend killed after breaking into Petal woman’s home, police say

A woman reported her ex-boyfriend was banging on her door before forcing his way in. A second man in the home fired a gun, striking the intruder. The man was to a local hospital but later died. Names are withheld pending notification, and no arrests have been made.

Grind to Glory: TCPS to rely on new crop of seniors

Free fishing day gives fishermen a chance to learn new skills
