New Hope Animal Rescue in need of donations for new facility
SUMMARY: New Hope Animal Rescue in Pedal needs assistance to complete a new facility. Previously operating from four buildings, the shelter faced financial strain due to utility costs and losing their main transporter, leading to its sale. Currently, animals are housed at New Hope Chest thrift shop or taken home by staff. Executive Director Jesse Hubbert reported turning away dozens of rescues due to limited space. While construction of a new building has started, it still needs electrical work, plumbing, insulation, and more. Donations can be dropped off at 500 Old Burton Road or through Venmo and PayPal links available at wjtv.com.
