Velma Young Park pool, which has been closed for several years, will reopen starting tomorrow with hours from 1 to 4 PM. Highland Park Pool will also open tomorrow. Both pools will be closed on July 4th due to a lack of lifeguards but will reopen on Friday, with Velma Young Park pool hours remaining 1 to 4 PM and Highland Park Pool open from 1 to 5 PM. The reopening aims to provide fun summer activities for kids.

One way that you can beat the summer's heat is by getting in one of Meridian's pools.
