Law enforcement will not immediately issue citations for ‘squatted’ vehicles in Mississippi

SUMMARY: Mississippi has enacted a new banning “squatted” vehicles, where the front bumper is raised four or more inches above the rear fender, effective from Monday. Law enforcement will issue warning citations until January 27, 2025, before imposing fines of $100, $200, and $300 for subsequent offenses, with a third offense resulting in a one-year license suspension. The fines will secondary school driver's education. Gov. Tate Reeves signed House Bill 349, authored by Rep. Fred Shanks, a fatal involving a squatted truck. Mississippi joins North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia in this prohibition.

Biloxi man sentenced to 80 years in prison for sexual abuse of multiple children

Investigators found explicit recordings and messages on Hall's phone.
