Tropical Update 6/26/24
SUMMARY: Good evening, I’m Chief Meteorologist Patrick Bigby with your tropical update. We’re monitoring two tropical waves: Invest 94L near Jamaica, and 95L in the Eastern Atlantic. Invest 94L, south of Jamaica, has a 20% chance of developing as it approaches the Yucatan Peninsula, eventually moving into Mainland Mexico. Meanwhile, 95L has a 40% chance of developing and could move into the Caribbean next week, potentially forming into a tropical storm named Barel. Following these systems, Saharan dust is expected, which may temporarily reduce tropical activity. We’ll keep you updated on these developments in the coming days.
